Empowering Change Through Charity
The Lockett Trust is dedicated to supporting local, national and international charities that bring about meaningful change. We support a limited number of Charities on a regular basis. In addition, each year a small number of applications received are approved by the Trustees on an ad hoc basis. Preference is given to smaller organisations with a low expense ratio.
About The Lockett Trust
The Lockett Trust was established in 2015 by Derek & Esther Lockett who resided in Southend on Sea, Essex. As they had no family, they wanted to ensure that on the second of them to die, their Estate could be used to benefit charities which were close to their hearts.
Preference being given to charities established within the Essex area.
Typical beneficiaries include: local Hospices, food banks, homeless centres, children’s charities and care for the elderly.
National beneficiaries include: RNLI, Air Ambulance, cancer research and animal welfare.
Internationally the Trust has supported: Medecins Sans Frontieres, Save The Children Fund, Ukraine, Gaza humanitarian relief and other specified causes.
